‘As a mom, you just KNOW. Something didn’t feel right. Cars zipped by on the busy street. I trembled as we made our way to the front of the building. We were only a few steps away. I wanted to run, but I didn’t.’

“It didn’t take long before I realized that my husband dressed-up as the bearded lady was not as charming to our fellow trick-or-treaters as I thought it was. Children were pointing and laughing. Grown women were calling him hateful names loud enough for my children to hear. I was shocked.”
