Their arms are outstretched and their feet are in motion,

But this is no temper tantrum ma’am.

This is action.

Open your eyes and see them.

Why haven’t you seen them?

Now you will see them…

Peace be still, until your peace be stolen is their slogan and they are not afraid.

They are not moved by your threats of discipline for they do not fear your hand.

Look at your children, Mother America!

They are wailing and you are failing them.

Where is your embrace?

These are your children, Mother America!

They are tired of being laid down and rocked to sleep.

Where is your breast?

Your children are crying, Mother America!

Their arms are outstretched and their feet are in motion,

But this is no temper tantrum,

This is action…”
