‘Brothers by chance, friends by choice.’: Mom in awe after sons adorably become instant BFFs

Every parent worries that a new baby will cause jealousy and chaos in their older kids’ lives. Mom and registered nurse Anna Phipps had that fear when they brought home their infant son.

But as it turns out, she didn’t have anything to worry about. Her older son immediately took to the baby, taking him under his wing and becoming his very first — and best — friend for life.

“Brothers by chance, & (hopefully) friends by choice,” Anna captioned a video she shared on TikTok. In it, we see a montage of the adorable moments her sons have shared since they brought their baby home. It’s clear that her older son is a sweetheart who opened his arms and heart to his brother right from the start!

“We were worried when we brought home baby brother that he would be jealous,” Anna wrote. “He was just happy we brought him his new best friend for life.”

The video struck a nerve online, partially because of Anna’s use of the sweet song, “You’ve Got A Friend In Me,” the theme from Toy Story. You can actually see the love these two cuties share! Watch the video below to see their friendship blossom.
