Ernest Griggs Sr. first met his wife Lyndy when she was 16 years old. They fell in love, got married four years later, and went on to have four sons and six grandchildren together. So when the couple went to Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen in Orlando, Florida, to celebrate their 43rd wedding anniversary, Ernest had something special in mind to celebrate!

In the middle of their meal, Ernest stood up and began to sing. The entire restaurant paused to listen as he serenaded Lyndy with lyrics he wrote himself.

“Forever, that’s how long I’ll be in love with you,” he crooned. His original song told the story of how they first met, and he told Lyndy she will always be his “queen.” Awww!

The other diners all cheered when he finished. Ernest later shared the video on Facebook, writing, “After 43 years of marriage, our love writes its own song.”

We all need someone who isn’t afraid to sing to us in public! Lyndy is one lucky lady. Check out Ernest’s song in the video below.
