When it comes to expanding your family, some things really are worth the wait!

A wife and mother named Becky shared an adorable video on TikTok that’s making millions of people tear up. In it, her son, who appears to be 13 or 14 years old, scratches off a ticket to find a special message from his parents.

“He’s wanted a sibling for 12 years,” Becky wrote. “After 12 years of negative tests, we got our positive.”

Her son scratches the ticket, and as soon as he realizes what the message means, his face cracks into a wide, happy smile. Becky said he’s always wanted a sibling, and just the day before, she’d been crying and apologizing to him for not being able to give him one. She’d basically given up on conceiving just a month earlier, so this news was as unexpected as it was welcome!

Even better, they learned they’re having a girl! Something tells us this is going to be the most loved, pampered little one ever born. Watch her big brother find out the good news in the video below.
